Dr. Richard Davidson is a professor of psychology and psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the founder and the director of the Center for Healthy Minds. He is best known for his groundbreaking work studying emotions and the brain. A friend and confidant of the Dalai Lama, he is an expert speaker and delivers talks on wellbeing at international venues such as the World Economic Forum, where he is part of the Global Council on Mental Health. In 2006, Time Magazine named Davidson one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World”.
